Mr Gorilla returns for epic “Simian Cycle” challenge
After winning fans right around the world for his success in the 2017 London Marathon, Mr Gorilla is back!
Last spring, the superstar fundraiser knuckle-walked the entire length of the London Marathon, a feat that took him almost two weeks. In the process, he made headlines in the global media and raised an incredible £50,000 for the Gorilla Organization’s field conservation projects in Africa.
Now, Mr Gorilla has set his sights on cycling the length of Great Britain, from Land’s End to John O’Groats – wearing his full gorilla suit, of course! Tom Harrison, a serving policeman and the man behind the gorilla mask, will set off from the southern-most tip of England tomorrow (Friday 30 March). His “Simian Cycle” challenge will see him cover around 875 miles until he reaches his destination at the very top end of Scotland.
This time around, Mr Gorilla aims to raise £1,000 for gorilla conservation, though is hopeful he will once again be able to smash his target.
